A consumer electronics brand had been previously monitoring all new domain registrations. They found the large volume of new registrations meant that an impractical amount of internal time was taken to filter the priority targets from the great number of irrelevant registrations, fan-sites and inactive domains.
They were looking for a fresh approach that enabled them to focus their activity on an intelligently filtered list of target domains. These were domains which were highly visible, commercially active and likely to cause customer confusion and revenue loss.
The monitoring program required by the client needed to provide monitoring of domains across 27 countries.
The program we have developed provides a concise monthly report of high priority domain infringements based on agreed criteria. The client can now focus their time on the recovery of domains which are currently the most severe infringements that have the potential to damage the brand.
